4.5 stars Wonton and beef tendon noodle soup hit the mark on all fronts. Chewy noodles, full tasty wonton, soft beef tendon, and a good soup. Only thing is I wish there were a more noodles; unbalanced and ran out too fast. I tried to get an extra order of just noodles (no soup) and they tried to charge me like 5 or 7 bucks (1/2 to 3/4 the price of the whole dish!), but after expressing some surprise I was able to get it added as "extra noodles" for like 3 bucks. So pro tip, just order extra noodles from the start if that's your thing. (Not sure why all the fuss anyways) less

We were rushing in right before closing time. Food was prepared very quickly without compromising the taste. The seafood and meat topping were quite generous. Everyone in my group was saying the beef tendon was really really good. I wasn't a fan of beef tendon so can't say much about it. Service was good, quick and friendly. We appreciate they still taking our orders despite it's very near to their closing time. As for ambiance, well it's a pretty small establishment and no vacant tables, turnover of the tables are super quick so don't expect a squeaky clean everything but it's at an acceptable level of clean less

Wonton soup that doesn't skimp on meat portions for around 10 bucks in this day and age?? What's to complain about!? When it's cold in NYC and you need a deep broth to revive you, HK wonton garden will not disappoint. Broth was rich, wontons were meaty, beef and tendons were tender, it hit the spot for both me and the hubby NOTE: The place is small but turnover is quick less

Our go-to spot for Chinese comfort food: wonton noodle soup, roast duck noodle soup, beef fried rice, pan fried noodles, dimsum, and all the other variations of noodles! We've been coming here for over 40 years even when they moved to the Mulberry St location. The cooks and servers are still here wearing their Hawaiian shirts. Fast efficient and no frills setting. less

Great food at reasonable prices. Peking duck was amazingly tender and juicy. Honey walnut prawns were also a favorite. Wonton soup was good (individual portion sized) and the crowd favorite was the crispy chow mein with pork. Service was good - simple. Just make sure you confirm your orders. Small restaurant that can fit about 30 people inside. less

Another perfect adventure with HK Wonton Garden. The wontons are amazing. I now just order 2 orders of wonton soup. I can't even add hot chili sauce.... It would be messing with perfection. This is a must if you're in Chinatown!! less

Tiny restaurant in Chinatown off mulberry street. No frill, old decor w money on the walls. What you would expect from china town. I was craving wonton soup but the pork wonton soup that I usually get at a Chinese restaurant. I'm not a fan of the dumpling shrimp and pork combo that look more like what's pictured, so I didn't love the soup. The thin noodles also were a little tough. The broth was good but I added chili oil and vinegar. Service is your typical China town style. If you know then you know lol less
